Finance Course 1: How to Accurately Determine Your Overhead
The first step to improving profitability is knowing how much you are actually spending and how much this leaves as profit. Waiting till the end of the quarter or year to see a Profit & Loss Statement from your accountant just doesn't work because a) it leaves out important figures you need to know, b) by the time you see this statement, it's too late to do anything about it, and c) you can't do any planning or adjusting in real-time throughout the month/year.
So, in this course, we give you a structured way to calculate your overhead on a continuing basis, so you can easily get a clear view of your expenses and keep spending under control.
Objectives:
- Break down each category of expense.
- Calculate your true overhead.
- Compare your income to outgo to evaluate your practice's financial viability.
